Over-all grade: TNT - 91% SMSCM - 100%
91-100 is the final score.
My dad said:
"Anak, tignan mo yung score. 91 lang ang TNT pero yung SanMig 100"
Me:
"So ano po yun?" (I'm still on a daydreaming state then. Can't get his point, really)
Dad:
"Parang grade diba? Yung TNT 91% lang ang grade pero yung SanMig Perfect score."
Me:
" Ah. oo nga po. "

After one hour.
Oo nga no?
TNT despite their Elims dominance, felt short in this series and finished just 91. Why?
1. Their bench didn't deliver as a group.
2. They fell in love with their threes.
3. They gave Howell a little trust.
4. Castro became too afraid to take over.
5. Jimmy forced a lot and forgot to pass.
6. Fonacier was gone all throughout the series.
7. RDO became inconsistent.
8. They forgot to move the ball well (2nd half)
9. Frustrated by SanMig's hell defense.
100-9 = 91%
SanMig although finishing just 6th in the elims got a perfect score?
1. (-) They might be tired (+) but has a big heart
2. (-) Starters struggle, (+) bench will deliver
3. (-) Seems like everything's not going into the right place
4. (-) 1 step Backward (++) 2 steps forward
100-4 + 4 = 100%
Point is, they might be a boring team in a sense that they are effective in a deliberate half court set, playing lock-down defense that will make the opponent bleed from shots; but that's their formula in winning.
Each player knows their roles. They don't hurry things up. They are just waiting for their moments to shine and be recognized.
No egos.
They trust the system no matter what.
